The Ranger
All Major Marine Tours' Alaska day cruises are hosted by uniformed Rangers; Kenai Fjords National Park Ranger on our Kenai Fjords full-day and half-day cruises and a Chugach National Forest Ranger on our Prince William Sound glacier cruise. The rangers provide a detailed narrative on the history, ecology, and geology of the area and the wildlife. The ranger is available to answer all your questions throughout the cruise. They are very experienced, informative, enthusiastic, and enjoy the opportunity to share their knowledge of the area.
Kids love our Junior Ranger Program! Children will work directly with the ranger as they view wildlife and identify the various mammal and bird species in the Kenai Fjords National Park or Prince William Sound. A Junior Ranger awards ceremony will be held at the conclusion of the cruise, where each new Junior Ranger will receive a participation badge and have the opportunity to have their photo taken with the Ranger. Major Marine Tours is excited for the Ranger's participation and the fun educational experience they offer to our younger, and older guests!
